Cross out chance.

Recently I have been noticing that people almost always have something hanging from the rear view mirror in their car. Usually it’s either some form of a cross, or hanging dice. It got me thinking: People are either choosing Christ and the cross, or they are leaving their lives to chance… What a revelation!

When I speak of life – I am not just referring to this life. I mean the eternal life of your soul. Can we take a moment to comprehend the severity of this situation? Not through the filter of fear, but through a perspective that sobers us into an awakening. It scares me to think that some people are okay with rolling the dice, and gambling their salvation away for a few years of supposed fun.

On my birthday a few years ago, I went gambling for the first (and only) time. I hated it. I didn’t understand the rules of the games, and I lost all of my money. It wasn’t an enjoyable or good time. I left bored and broke. I think if you don’t understand the rules of life – you might be experiencing this same lame experience.

This life is not a life of chance. This is a life of choice, and of purpose. Your life is for a purpose. That purpose is not to play games and have fun. The purpose is God loves us so much that He gave us free will to choose to love Him, and then once we make this choice of Him and His love – to go out and spread the Word that this is an option. This is THE option.

For me, the choice is clear. Christal clear!
